GoPro Hero 10 is the latest addition to the successful series of GoPro devices. It is the first gadget to have a new generation GP2 processor offering a more user-friendly experience than its look-alike predecessor Hero 9.
Physical appearance
There isn’t any major change in the appearance of the GoPro Hero 10 except the blue-colored logo. It looks very similar to GoPro 9.
Processor up-gradation
GoPro has developed a specialized processor for its GoPro series named GP1, it was introduced in Hero 6 and was used till Hero 9. GP2 is the upgraded chipset introduced in GoPro 10. Powered by GP2, Hero 10 boosts smoother playback and a more responsive touch panel.
FPS
Double frame rate (fps) from its predecessor GoPro 9, 5.3K at 60fps, 4K at 120fps, and 8x slow-motion capture at 240 fps in 2.7K resolution. Further resolutions planned for the November 2021 Firmware update includes the following resolutions:
Sensor
23.6 MP sensor for all photo modes in hero 10 which was 20MP in hero 9. 15.8MP stills can be captured from the video as well. It is capable of excellent quality footage due to the hydrophobic lens both under and above water. Hero 10 has a definitively superior camera to its ancestor.
Storage/data transfer
Data transfer through cloud, Quikapp, or via USB. It is also capable of transferring data to the cloud while plugged in for charging.
Excellent stabilization
The max lens mod for superb stabilization. The Hypersmooth feature has been upgraded to version 4.0 along with an increased horizon level to 45 degrees from the previous 27 degrees.

Battery
GoPro Hero 10 is equipped with a 1720mAh removable, quick recharge battery which is the same as in Hero 9.
Hindsight capability captures a recording of 30 seconds before ‘record’ is even pressed making sure not to miss a worthy shot. Additionally, schedule capture enables recording videos automatically with a preset time giving freedom of not missing special moments.
