So like every year a new
Samsung flagship series of phone have launched & this year it’s the Galaxy
S25 Series with a prominent power-house as Galaxy S25 Ultra bursting with
features a robust camera system, premium design & cutting edge hardware
surely one of the most powerful & loaded android phones on the market
available.
But! There’s a catch this
flagship power house launched at a premium price from Rs. 439,999.00,so the question is
despite of all the mind boggling features does it really worth upgrading to Galaxy S25 Ultra from the last year S24 Ultra ? Let’s find out with these
5 compelling reasons why you might want to
skip the Galaxy S25 Ultra:
While the Galaxy
S25 Ultra doesn't drastically overhaul the S24 Ultra's design, it introduces
thoughtful refinements that enhance usability and aesthetics, the highlight is
a lighter and slimmer body with a gradual weight difference from 232g to 218g
while the s25 Ultra is slighter a bigger
in size to previous release S24 Ultra which really isn’t a difference even,
while both the phones comes with IP68 dust tight and water resistant ( immersible up to 1.5m
for 30 min) as well comes with Corning Gorilla Armor .
All in all
there’s nothing major in design & body apart from minor tweaks which
practically won’t bring a major difference to user experience.
The display on both
units are crisp & clean with Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 2600 nits (peak) with
1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio however surprisingly the Galaxy Ultra S24
brings more PPi with 505 while the latest Galaxy Ultra S25 have 498 PPi giving
the older model a slight edge however this isn’t a very noticeable difference
and won’t make a variance to user experience.
The latest Samsung S25 Ultra comes with
a Qualcomm SM8750-AB Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) an
upgrade from previous year and definitely a level up to previous year
performance but then again the standards set on last year Galaxy S24 Ultra
flagship phone this again won’t make u feel a major difference, both the phones
comes with 12GB of RAM unless you’re going with a 1TB of Memory on your Galaxy
S25 Ultra where RAM increased to 16GB creating a Monster performance.
So the very important aspect for a user considering a flagship phone & that is if how good the camera is? Though when it comes to SAMSUNG which has always set the bar really high for its smartphones particularly the Flagships, The latest Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with 200 MP, f/1.7, 24mm (wide), 1/1.3", 0.6µm, multi-directional PDAF, OIS10 MP, f/2.4, 67mm (telephoto), 1/3.52", 1.12µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom which is identical to last year Galaxy S24 Ultra however the only difference & upgrade on camera is for the Wide lens where Megapixels have been increased to 50MP as previously was 12MP on Galaxy S24 Ultra which again is nothing major reason to upgrade, meanwhile the Video specs on both the phones remain same as well as the Front Camera which is 12MP on both phones outputting somehow identical results.
Coming to battery which is again a precise factor to consider & like many other features batteries on both phones are same i.e. Li-Ion 5000 mAh with 45W wired charging ,both the phones comes with stereo speakers Tuned by AKG, the other features such as Fingerprint (under display, ultrasonic), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer all are identical on both phones.
The Samsung Galaxy Ultra S25 Ultra features &
specification are indeed a powerhouse but considering Samsung last year release
of Galaxy Ultra S24 Ultra which was already a beast & even today in 2025 it
remains to be a stellar performer.
After the release of a newer version, the GalaxyS24 Ultra
price atomically dropped although you can hardly get a brand new phone but if
your someone who doesn’t mind getting a used phone or you are someone who is at
present using Galaxy Ultra S24 Ultra then you are already on the bandwagon with
something that is exceptionally well and doesn’t need an upgrade.
Hope this little effort will help you make your choice!
